The Palmview State Secondary College is a new school that has just opened this year with the first cohort of year 7 and 8 students. The PSSC P&C has been formed to help raise funds for the School Community & Local Charites as we are literally starting from scratch, we know we have a lot of work ahead of us. We have been doing some brainstorming on how we can source some donation/sponsors/fundraising for our school community. As a new school, with very limited start-up funds, the first project the PSSC P&C would like to get up and running is the school canteen/tuck-shop. At the moment, the canteen it is just bare walls with a Fridge/Freezer, bench, stovetop, dishwasher and a small pie warmer. We are seeking sponsorship or funds to help in the purchase of an oven or two, storage cupboards/containers, microwave, a second food warmer, basic kitchen utensils and kitchen electrical items such as Hot Chocolate/coffee machine, sandwich press’s, kettle, jugs, Toaster etc. needed for the basic operation of the canteen. Whilst the children have been very patient and understanding that these things take time, they are also really looking forward to the day they can order their lunch or grab an ice block at lunchtime to cool down. Any donations/sponsorship you are able to offer our PSSC P&C to help our first project of getting the school canteen up and running will be greatly appreciated.
