New Studio Equipment
Eighty8 Dance Company is Hip-Hop dance Company based in Goodna and have been around for almost 6 years. We cater to the community of all ages and dance abilities. We currently have approximately 100 dancers with majority of them being children from toddlers to 16yrs. We have been running dance programs to help prepare our dancers for local community performances and dance competitions. If we are successful, we will use the funding to help facilitate our studio with more equipment.
Our family is new to Eighty8 Dance Company. Arriving from New Zealand and witnessing the reopening of the building, we fell in love with the small community that has become a huge part to our lives. Mei and her crew are welcoming and friendly in every way. All the stories we have heard regarding the things they had to endure, shows the type of fighting spirit Mei has to do all she can to make things happen. I really wish them all the best for what they need to carry out the great work they have brought to Goodna.
Eighty8 Dance Co. Has been apart of the Brisbane hip hop dance scene for years now and every space they enter, whether it be dance competitions or community fundraisers, they're always pure with love and respect for anyone and everyone. If anyone deserves support in any way its Eighty8 Dance Company.
Having gone through the recent flooding with flood waters rising to the roof the studio had to undergo a complete refurb. During this time Mei continued the dance routine at an alternate venue so that no one missed out, that is the spirit that she brings to the community. The studio is an open safe space to any dancer of any age and ability and everyone in the community is welcome. Any funding awarded to Eighty8 would be such a huge win for the studio and all of the dancers!
