Maroochy River is a thriving rural hinterland town in the Sunshine Coast. Built around the river, with access to the water via Dunethin Rock Recreation Area's park and boat ramp, it's popular for its many nature reserves, fishing and the location of Good Samaritan Catholic College. The river extends from the Eastern slopes of the Blackall Ranges and flows East through Eumundi before entering the sea at Cotton Tree, Maroochydore only 15 minutes away. The airport is an easy 12-minute drive away.
